Fishtank audited YVR’s website against the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.0, level AA using a mix of manual and automated accessibility testing. We presented results in annotated screen-recordings of the site navigation, designed to help guide and inform developers on the issues found, as well as spreadsheets and a comprehensive 70-page report detailing a summary of the audit findings.
Fishtank updated YVR’s website to meet and pass the audit for the WCAG 2.1 AA standards. YVR’s website is now accessible to a wider range of people, including people with disabilities. Visitors can easily access information and have a great user experience on the site, no matter what their condition is. The accessibility work also improved the overall usability of the site for all users and had some positive SEO outcomes too.
